Interesting topic, but also made my chuckle when you made that bar analogy, but then followed it up by mentioning household names like Tesla and Google 😂 Any reason to think a company like Didi isn't a good long term investment in relation to todays topics? Encourage everyone to do their own DD, but with it being the Uber of China (pushed Uber out), globally expanding, profitable, hands in all the components you mentioned today (EV, AV, cargo,robotaxi, etc), psychologically improving government relations, relisting coming (listed in their financials last year), arguably the best self driving data holder for the china market, seems like a pretty strong buy here.

Tim you know about trading odds - the current Robotaxis technology is like short-selling.

Robotaxis are like fusion energy - always a decade away. Unfortunately AI/ML transformer-based architectures have drained much of the funding/interest from research towards fundamental AI innovations needed for Level 5 autonomy. Robotaxis would be great but we’re unlikely to get to the safety requirements using transformer-based architecture unless they operate in extremely contained environments. Also, to the contrary, Tesla is NOT on the verge of (nor even close to) Level 5 autonomy. The investment community wants this so bad that the cart is being put far before the horse. Tim PLEASE dig deeper and don’t be misled by the naive optimism.
